What is the current situation is with Buddha tattoos, as I have one on my upper leg?

Buddhism is accorded the "foremost place" in Sri Lanka's constitution and about 70 per cent of the island'€™s 21 million people are Buddhist.  Even though Sri Lanka has no law banning Buddha tattoos, locals and officials will find it deeply offensive. As long as you keep it covered you should be fine, you can find a waterproof tattoo cover makeup that can be purchased online. Do not brazenly display your tattoo in public places.
